Canine Chorale

Canine Chorale

7th & 8th Grade Non-UIL Treble Choir

Canine Chorale is a treble choir primarily comprised of 7th & 8th graders. This ensemble is excellent for students unable to commit to a UIL ensemble and morning sectionals. It is also ideal for older students who want to continue their foundation of vocal technique & musicianship, but have no experience in a vocal ensemble setting. Units will include music theory, sight singing, and ear training.  There will be a focus on vocal techniques in a choral/vocal ensemble setting such as matching pitch, timbre, and intonation.  The students will participate in at least two performances during the school year, including the All Choirs Winter Concert and the Spring Pop Show. The latter concert has a different theme every year and features opportunities to audition to sing a solo or in a small group in the show.
