TMEA Region 18 MS Choir Information

Hello Scottie Singers & 7th & 8th Grade Choir Majors, Part of your requirements as a member of Scottie Singers or a Vocal Major is to audition for the TMEA All-Region Choir. Students are selected for this privileged honor after auditioning and beating out students from more than 20 Austin-area middle schools. Only 210 students will be selected to perform in the 7th Treble, 8th Treble, & TTB TMEA Region 18 MS Choirs from almost 400 students that will audition. 7th or 8th-grade girls need to place in the top 26 in their auditioned room to be selected. 7th or 8th-grade boys need to place in the top 18 in their auditioned room to be chosen. Students who place in the TMEA Region 18 MS Choir are not allowed to miss the clinic on February 8 for ANY reason because to be selected is an honor!!! Students selected for the TMEA Region 18 MS Choir should be prepared to participate in the TMEA Region 18 MS Choir Concert as well. In the month of January, I will be having OPTIONAL before-school rehearsals 7:45 - 8:10 am on Monday, January 13 & Monday, January 20 for choir majors & Scottie Singers to learn the music.
