Doggie Dames & Scottie Singers Sectional Schedule

  • Please note the choir name and voice part.

  • All sectionals meet from 7:45-8:10 a.m. in the Choir Room.

Sectionals

  • Scottie Singers and Doggie Dames will attend morning sectionals from 7:45-8:10 once every other week based on voice part.

  • Each sectional is 15% of your grade for that grading period.

  • Students who ride the bus should come straight to sectionals as soon as your bus arrives on campus.

  • If you cannot make your scheduled sectional, please plan on attending Make-up sectionals on Thursday of the same week.

TMEA All-Region Sectionals

  • There are several TMEA All-Region Sectionals in January. These are NOT required and do not count as a grade, but are very beneficial to those students who plan to audition for the TMEA All-Region Choir.

  • Please come to these rehearsals with your music already learned. Ms. Kennell will help you on the areas in which you are struggling, but will NOT be teaching notes/rhythms.

EVERY YEAR, THE BOOSTER CLUB HELPS SUPPORT OUR CHOIR STUDENTS BY VOLUNTEERING LABOR AND CONTRIBUTING MONEY. TO CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THE CHOIR IN ALL THE WAYS THAT WE WOULD LIKE, WE NEED TO RAISE FUNDS FOR CHOIR EFFORTS. HERE ARE SOME EXAMPLES OF WHAT YOUR CONTRIBUTION WILL MAKE POSSIBLE:

$10 (BUYS A MEAL FOR A KID ON REHEARSAL OR CONCERT DAY)

$25 (COVERS COST OF CHOIR T-SHIRT FOR A STUDENT IN NEED)

$50 (COVERS COST FOR A STUDENT IN NEED TO GO ON A FIELD TRIP)

$75 (COVERS ACCOMPANIST, CLINICIAN OR MENTOR FEES FOR A CHOIR)

$100 (COVERS TRANSPORTATION FOR FIELD TRIP SUCH AS UIL SIGHT READING & EVALUATION)

$250 (COVERS REFRESHMENTS AND OTHER COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH OUR “THAT’S A WRAP PARTY)
