TMEA All-Region Choir 2022

Today, Lamar Middle School had 30 students audition for the Region 18 TMEA All-Region Choir. Out of those 30, 25 were selected to be a part of this prestigious organization! Congratulations to the following students:

Once Upon a Mattress Callbacks

Thank you to everyone who auditioned for Once Upon a Mattress! We had a great turnout and TONS of talent!

This Thursday from 4-6pm in the Choir room we will be holding callbacks for the students that we would like to see again. Please check the callback page to see if you are being called back.

Please know that if you did not receive a callback, it does not mean that you are not going to receive a part in the cast in some capacity.

That's a Wrap Party

Hello Lamar Choir!

As we wrap up this awesome school year, the Booster Club will be hosting the 3rd annual "That's a Wrap" Party for all choir students. The party will be on May 23rd immediately after school until 7:00pm. This year, dinner will be a taco bar from La Mancha and dessert by Amy's Ice Cream. This event is FREE for choir students! Please note that the event is for choir students only (no friends/siblings/etc.) and this will be a CELL PHONE FREE event. All phones will be turned in upon check-in with the adult chaperones and can be picked up when the student checks out. 

If your student plans to attend, they will need to turn in a permission form by May 20th. We will not accept any forms after May 20th at 4:00pm. We have to turn in final numbers to La Mancha that day to make sure we have enough food.

EVERY YEAR, THE BOOSTER CLUB HELPS SUPPORT OUR CHOIR STUDENTS BY VOLUNTEERING LABOR AND CONTRIBUTING MONEY. TO CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THE CHOIR IN ALL THE WAYS THAT WE WOULD LIKE, WE NEED TO RAISE FUNDS FOR CHOIR EFFORTS. HERE ARE SOME EXAMPLES OF WHAT YOUR CONTRIBUTION WILL MAKE POSSIBLE:

$10 (BUYS A MEAL FOR A KID ON REHEARSAL OR CONCERT DAY)

$25 (COVERS COST OF CHOIR T-SHIRT FOR A STUDENT IN NEED)

$50 (COVERS COST FOR A STUDENT IN NEED TO GO ON A FIELD TRIP)

$75 (COVERS ACCOMPANIST, CLINICIAN OR MENTOR FEES FOR A CHOIR)

$100 (COVERS TRANSPORTATION FOR FIELD TRIP SUCH AS UIL SIGHT READING & EVALUATION)

$250 (COVERS REFRESHMENTS AND OTHER COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH OUR “THAT’S A WRAP PARTY)
